Cingular Family Plan Review
All I can say is the Cingular Family Plan
and services will be exciting to monitor. They have recently
merged with AT&T, which makes it the largest cell phone carrier!
Although Cingular is the largest carrier, there are still
some problems with the coverage areas, which Cingular has
promised to mediate in the future.
Presently this means Cingular Family plans has limited
coverage areas and would not be convenient for busy travelers and
businesses. Overall however, their call quality is good and if they
can improve the coverage problem it would be even better. You can
take a closer look here.
In terms of customer service, Cingular needs improvement due to
numerous customer service related complaints. But on the other hand,
which cellular phone service doesn’t have problems with customer
service?
Cingular Family Talk Plans has two main categories: Cingular Family
Talk Nation and Cingular Family Talk Region. The differences are
subtle and I will explain further. The main differences concern
long distance usage and mobile-to-mobile usage. Cingular Family
Talk National has free long distance calling from anywhere in the
U.S. and 1000 mobile-to-mobile minutes, while the Cingular Family
Talk Region only has free long distance when placed in your home
area and no mobile-to-mobile minutes. Cingular is also the only
provider to offer roll over minutes for their family plans.
So which one suits you better? It depends greatly on the frequency
you travel and if you have family members or friends that also use
Cingular. Mobile-to-mobile minutes help you keep in touch with them
while conserving your use of anything minutes. On the other hand,
the Cingular Family Talk Region gives you more anytime minutes for
the same price of the Nation plan since you’re foregoing the free
long distance nationally and mobile-to-mobile minutes.
Overall Rating for this plan: 4/5 To
